Position Details
Structural Design Engineer (8–18 Years) – High Rise Buildings
Kalpataru is looking for design professionals with expertise in High-rise Residential & Mixed-use buildings, Data Centres, Airports, and similar projects to join its Engineering Excellence Hub in Mumbai and Bangalore.
Open Positions
1. Structural Design – Manager / AGM / DGM
- Qualification: B.Tech – Civil Engineering
Key Duties:
- Coordinate with central design team and other disciplines (Architecture, MEP, etc.)
- Present structural designs to clients and stakeholders
- Attend external meetings and represent the structural design team
- Obtain design approvals from client engineers and authorities
- Analyze structural components and configurations
- Calculate loads, stresses, and strains due to usage and environmental factors
- Perform dynamic analysis and assess material strength (concrete, steel, brick)
- Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and design documents
- Conduct site inspections and assess structural integrity
- Develop design strategies to enhance safety and efficiency
- Coordinate with geotechnical engineers for soil investigations
- Use CAD and simulation tools for structural modeling
Software Knowledge:
- ETABS
- STAAD Pro
- SAP2000
- SAFE
- IDEA StatiCa
- RCDC
- Revit / Tekla
2. CAD Engineer / Draughtsman
- Qualification: Diploma – Civil Engineering
Key Duties:
- Prepare General Arrangement Drawings (GAD), structural detail drawings, and Good for Construction (GFC) drawings
- Create detailed RCC drawings including Bar Bending Schedules (BBS)
- Perform steel detailing for structural components
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and standards
- Coordinate with structural engineers and other design team members
- Maintain drawing documentation and revisions accurately
Software Knowledge:
- AutoCAD
- Revit
